MarjorieTidey 9/1/2005 Trying to find the family of my father ,Alexander Taylor.Alexander born 1899C,parents Alfred James Taylor &Bertha Leigh.Alexander is said to have come to Australia 1925c.He had a sister ,Madge or Marjorie ,but not sure if there were any other siblings.Alexander changed his name to Turner some time before he married Elsie Melinda Rowe,1940, Roma Queensland ,Australia.They had 3 children,Marjorie Joyce,James Alexander,&margaret Fay.Alexander died 1949,Charleville ,Queensland ,Australia.My birth certificiate gives his birth place as Leith,Scotland.As does the marriage cert.The death cert. gives it as Manchester,England.I have tried both places ,in both names ,but no luck.I would be gratful for any info on this family. |
