Pauline Gale -EDMUND COX SMITH - born Sierra Leone - approx 1884 - fathers name George William Smith a Colonel in the Hants Regiment. Edmund married EDITH MARY BURTON on the 7th March 1903 at the parish church Portsea, they had 5 children - Edmund, Henry, Cyril, Ronald and Dora. There are some relatives still in the Portsmouth area. At the time of his marriage he was on board the Duke of Wellington. He lived at Hambledon in 1905 when my father was born and mainly in Portsmouth until he died in 1969. Would anyone know when George William Smith was born and where, who he married and what other childred he had and also when he died.
