My great-great grandfather was Henry Green who worked on the canals in Staffordshire. He was born in Coventry in circa.1832 but was living on the boat called 'California' in 1881 at the time of the census. He had eight children including Joseph, Thomas, Henry, Margaret, Maria and Reuben who was my great grandfather. Does anyone have ancestors who lived on the boats in Staffordshie at this time or was related to any of these Greens? |
