I am trying to track Joseph Chapman, supposedly born 1873 in Leighton Buzzard Buckingham England. His mother is listed as Hannah or Anna Linney, who married a man named Haynes, in Leighton Buzzard. She has a sister, Elizabeth who married a Mr Botham who died & she then married Frederick T Blumtritt in Leighton Buzzard. I think he died about 1903? & she came to Australia with Joseph Chapman & settle in Wyee NSW Australia. I hope there is someone who can help me. Thanks, Sandra In Australia he was known as Joe Chapman UPDATE... UPDATE... I have found out my grandfather was Joe Chapman not Joseph, born 1883 - Mother Anna Chapman (Haynes, Linney) & father Joseph Chapman. They married in Leighton Buzzard in 1881, but both must have died before 1891 census as Joe is living with his aunt & uncle. Joseph Chapman's father's name was William. If anyone has any information to fill in the blank spots - PLEASE HELP ME!!! Thanks GR for all your help so far, Sandra |
