I am searching for any info or history on my great grandmothers side. Her name was ANNIE JONES, she married WILLIAM TURREL-GRIFFIN. I know they had a few children but I don't know how many. One was my nan, IVY LOUISE TURREL-GRIFFEN [she married twice, HAYNES & CASWELL. She had 4 daughters and 1 adopted daughter. They lived in Leamington Spa.] The other childrens names of Annie Jones is Lucy & Ethel [Lucy emmigrated to Australia years ago]. Annie's mom's surname was CROGAN and she came from Ireland [I believe she lived in Leicester?]. CROGAN married a man from Wales, his surname was JONES [I do not know their first names]. Annie's mom died when Annie was 10yrs old. Her mother died at the age of 38yrs old, after the birth of their 5th child. Annie was looked after by a family named HOODS/or HUDDS, they were travellers [I believe they were performing travellers]. Annie lived in Southam and died around the year of 1975. I saw her a few times and once she came to live with us when I was about 12yrs old, for a few months, but I never got to know her [to my deep regret]. I know she had a brother, but know nothing more about her life and family. Can anyone help with anything they may know of my ancesters, relatives, history and true stories. Thank you! |
