NICHOLAS WATERS Nicholas, then a labourer, married my Great Grandmother Honora Baston or Beston in a Roman Catholic Ceromony in St Georges Cathedral Church, Bermondsey, London on 29th January 1888. She was a widow aged 39. He was a bachelor aged 32. His father was George Waters a farmer. Nicholas and Honora both gave their address as 7 Union Place New Kent Road. witnesses to the wedding were James McGurk and Bridget Calmondy/Calmardy. Nicholas must have died by the end of 1900 because Honora then married Hugh McCarten on Dec 29th. Nicholas was my G Grandmother's second husband and not related to me, but I hope this information may be of use to someone. And I would be pleased to hear from anyone who knows of any info about Honora while she was with Nicholas, or any other time.

Hello there - I can't believe it!! You are talking about my great grandfather! Nicholas born in Ireland, came over to London due to the potato famine and married as you say Honora. Nicholas did sadly die at age 42 (broke his back while working on the docks) They had 2 children my grandfather John and we know of another son George didn't know Hanora married again though as the sons were put into a Catholic home!
You say you know that Nicholas' father was a farmer do you know his date of birth? or any other info on the Irish Waters?
