Hi all. Anybody seeking Edwards In the south Shropshire area, particulary the small villages of, Cound Frodesley, Pitchford, Acton burnell, on the 1861 census of cound it shows my gg grandfather Thomas Edwards as such Ellen Edwards (nee Littlehales) wife ab 1835 Berrington George ' son 1860 Cound James ' ' 1858 Frodesley Thomas ' Head 1828 Cound I have the history back to this point. this is where im only guessing at the moment The 1851 census Cound George Edwards Head Mar 59 ag/lab Cound Sarah ' wife ' 60 ' Charles ' son un 24 ' ' Thomas ' ' ' 22 ' ' Anne ' Niece 11 ' Emma ' ' 0 ' The 1841 census Cound John Edwards 14 man servant Born in county Charles ' 13 ' ' ' ( for John Griffiths-farmer ) George Edwards 50 ag/lab Born in county Sarah ' ' ' James ' 20 ' ' Thomas ' 13 ' ' Mary ' 20 ' Margret Rowe 80 ' I found a marriage in Cound 12/march/1808 Between George Edwards b ab 1783 of Cound and Sarah Rowe b ab 1787 of Cound . Cound parish registers, 21/dec/1788 Sarah d of Thomas & Margret Rowe bap, so it looks as if on the 41 census they have taken in Sarahs old mother, as I say this is only guesswork , Would greatly appriciate any info from anybody that might think this relates to there line Many thanks, Pete. |
