Hello Sam - Don't know if this will help but I have an ancestor Catherine Moran who was born in Ireland but who, in 1854, married William Maloney in Salford. I know nothing about Catherine except her father was Bernard but whether he came to Salford I don't know. Bernard is shown as being an ostler. |

My mothers' maiden name is Moran and her grandfather Alfred Moran was born in Salford, Manchester and migrated to Canada with Rose Curran and gave birth to my grandfather also called Alfred in 1929 before Rose was homesick and they returned to Salford in the early 1930s. I was just wondering if anybody had any information on the Morans of Salford and also my grandfathers sister Rose Moran who he lost contact with. Thankyou. Sam |
