Trying to find some information about my wife's g-g-grandparents. Patrick Carr (c1856) married Catherine Kelly (c1858) in 1878 - both lived in Sawney Pope St in Liverpool. Marriage certificate listed the father as James Carr, mariner (deceased) In the 1881 census there is a William Carr living in Sawney Pope St and I'm assuming (fair assumption) this is a brother and a lodger Ann Carr (sister?) I've checked earlier censuses but found no indication of a James anywhere that seems to match the info I have. I went of the age but gave a few years either way to allow for errors. Can anybody help? Am I being dim and missing something really obvious? Johnd |
