Hello, I am trying to find any information regarding my great grandmother RACHEL DAVIES. RACHEL was born in 1869 in Westbury, Shropshire, and she was a tailoress. Rachel's father was RICHARD DAVIES and he worked as a gardener. In 1892 RACHEL DAVIES married HARRY NICHOLAS in the Parish of St. Julian's, Shrewsbury, in the County of Salop, Shropshire. At the time of her marriage RACHEL lived in Bellevue Road, in Shrewsbury. In 1899 - 1900 RACHEL DAVIES and her husband HARRY NICHOLAS moved from Shropshire to the City of CHESTER, Cheshire. RACHEL and Harry had three children, Monica Nicholas, Harry Norman Nicholas and my grandfather Horace Nicholas born in 1900. Harry Nicholas was a tailor by trade and made the police uniforms for the Chester Constabulary, whilst Rachel worked as a tailoress in Chester. RACHEL NICHOLAS died in 1928 in Chester. Do you know anything about my great grandmother RACHEL DAVIES? I only have the information listed above to date, but I would like to know if there are any ancestors out there connected to my family. I would welcome any information if you can help me with my search. Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Julie |
