Member Since: February 2006 Posts: 2 Send Message	Can anyone help me with locating where my grandfather originated from. His name was Edwin Smith, and he lived at 15, King's Road, Egham,Surrey until he died in 1949. His birth certificate says that he was born in Deane in 1865, which I think is near Basingstoke and I believe that his father's name was John Smith or John William Smith, but I don't know where he came from . His mother's name was Elizabeth (nee Russell)
