My Grandmother Mary Helen Jones was born in Edgcote in 1894. Her father Arthur Ernest Jones, born 1857 was living at Warkworth Hall, Northampton in 1881, with his mother Mary Ann Jones. His father John Jones had died previously in 1859? ( It is difficult to read the tombstone in Warkworth church cemetry). Also in Warkworth are buried a John Jones who died in 1917 aged 77 years and his family. His wife Elizabeth Anne Jones who died July 1st 1931, aged 84 years, son John Ralph Richard Jones died 1890 aged 16 years and Catherine Jones died 1879 aged 6 months. The 1881 Census shows John as being born in Overthorpe and living in Middleton Cheney. I suspect that John is related in some way. Can anyone help? Could James Jones aged 32 in the 1881 Census and living at Middleton Lodge, Northamptonshire be John's brother? My father is 84 years old and I am trying to find out more about his mother's family. His mother died when he was 11 years old.
