I am looking for anyone who may have Roberts connections in the Oldbury and Dudley areas of the midlands . My grandfather was born in Oldbury workhouse in 1904 his name was William Roberts. His mother was Rebecca Roberts . She was a brickmaker . There is not alot of verbal history to go on as my grandfather did not have much contact with his mother after he joined the army and was sent to India . There is mention of an uncle who worked in the Iron foundry and got my grandfather a job with him. The name Solomon has been mentioned. Any information would be most welcomed |
