Hi Im researching my family tree, My great grandfather was Alfred ThomasJones of Cardiff born 1881 - 83, he was a painter and decorator, most of his older brothers were in the navy. he had brothers Joseph, Charles,Matthew,John,Williams and James, his mother parents were john jones 1835 born aberystwith and mother eliza 1841born in north petherton , bridgewater somerset. His first marriage was to Hannah gillard , they emigrated for canada but came back and had three girls dolly,connie and violet, hannah died 10 days after giving birth to my grandmother violet and alfred married again and lived in the canton area of cardiff and had i think 2 more children. All i know about him was that he died after a fall from a ladder in the 1950s. I would love to hear from my extended family , if anyone knows and more info. [email protected].
