I have around 20 Herniman's in my tree, ending with my ggg grandmother Sarah who married John Berriman/Berryman in 1818. My tree seems to link with Brenda Batchelor's tree, and I would be interested if anyone has traced the family back to what seems to be the origins in Exeter. Chris Parsons

Hello Christopher, I have just picked up you message on the Genes Community Board 24/02/2007!! Sorry if I am a bit late with info!

Your grandmother(?) was the sister of my GG grandfather Jonathon Herniman, bapt. 11/01/1793. He had 8 siblings of whom Sarah was the 3rd born.

I have a family tree which I received from another G.U contact that goes back to Pasco Herniman, baptised on 11/09/1653 at St.Sidwells, Exeter, although he appears to have been registered as a girl. Are you now aware of this part of our family tree? I'll be pleased to hear from you if I can be of any further help. I have the wills of Pasco's son Robert and his wife Susannah if you are interested.
