Member Since: January 2006 Posts: 0 Send Message	I am looking for information on ELLEN CARTER. I have no information about her parents or date of birth. She was the first wife of my grandfather John William Barton, who was born in Croydon in 1879. The had four children - John b.1903, Ivy Ellen b.1904, William b.1906 and Olive May b.1909. She registered Olive's birth in 1910 but when my grandfather joined the army in 1917 he was a widower. I can find no record of their marriage (could she have been married previously) nor of her death. Any information about this lady would be appreciated.
