When you post on such old threads, the chances of your message being seen by the poster are virtually zero

If you think that the posters of the two really old threads you have added to may have the same e-email address now as they did 'way back when'......click on their names and send a message

GR will attempt to notify them

Also..it is contrary to site guidelines to display personal e-mail addresses. Please delete yours, or risk having your post pulled by GR

Hi Steven.

My Gt Grandfather was Alfred Edwin Harnden (bn 1870 Rye, Sussex) he was a ships carpenter at the Royal Dockyard in Portsmouth in the 1890's until he and his family moved to Sheerness where he worked in the dockyard there. He married Ann Gibson Hunt and had 7 children Nellie, Katherine, Gertrude, Leonard, Henry, Stanley (my Grandfather) and Doris. My main tree is on Ancestry and has quite a bit of research on the Harnden family. I am currently a member of Genes but it expires in a weeks time, my email is [email protected] if you wish to contact me I'd be more than happy to help you with any info.

regards

Stewart.
