My fathers family were born and breed in the Romney Marsh area of Kent and I have evidence of a few records of marriages that go back far early 1800. There is a mention of a marriage between Nicholas Wratten of Broomhill ( a dilapidated Parish Church adjoining the Parish of Lydd) and Mary Skewers of Broomhill. The marriage is dated 23rd February 1806. If anyone would be interested in the Wratten information I have please contact me. Eileen Trigg (nee Wratten) |
