Hi there, I am trying to trace my grandfathers family. His name was John (Jack) Brown) b1918 in Blaydon, Newcastle. His father was also John Brown b1874. My grandad was the result of an extra marital affair between his father and another lady who was not his wife. His mother's name is listed as Margaret Shrieve (Shreeve) c1874 although I am not sure if this is his birth mother or the wife of John Brown senior who took him on as her own child. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Tara. |
