Can anyone help me i am trying to find ancestors of my grandad James Smith d.o.b 26/12/1927 died 27/8/1999 from Dudley West Midlands. lived there all his life. i have been told there was large family of these Smiths I know he had five sisters named--- Dot, married Bill(William) Walker Ruby married Wilf? Winnie married Raymend? living in Wolverhampton Beryl (she was adopted out) Margret. His father was also called James Smith and his mother was Alice(She was from Gornal, west midlands) i think her maiden name was Kensey if im correct they got married in 1926 in Dudley West Midlands. My grandad James married my nan Edna Sheldon in 1954 they had 4 children. Dorothy Smith d.o.b-5/12/1955 married Raymend Wyman 6/8/1974,now divorced (my parents) kevin Smith married Jean Wilkes dec 1976 kieth Smith married Doreen Collier 1986 Robert Smith d.o.b-18/7/1962----died--7/7/1992 just found out my grandad James had family from Kates Hill area of Dudley they lived near the old bus station, and he had an uncle nicknamed Nosha whom was always going to the horse races, believed he lived on the Priory estate of Dudley. I know there are 2 cousins named John Smith and Marleene from Dudley. regards Ann |
