I'm trying to find MARIE BENNETT for my mum. Marie was born about 1932 in the Birmingham area. Even though her father was still alive she was put into the Cadburys of Bournville Childrens Home. She was then evacuatedto Wilderhope Manor,near Church Stretton,Shropshire and she attended Brockton School. She then went to stay with the Jeffries family. These were my grandad(Bill),gran(Ethel) and my mum Margaret,who was about 3years older than Marie. The Jeffries family enquired about adopting Marie, but her father would not agree. Marie was sent to Canada in about 1944-45 and nothing has been heard of her since. I have just taken early retirement and am on a quest. If there is anybody out there who can help I'd be delighted to hear from you. |
