Hi, my name is Peggy, I am looking for details on my GGGrandfather,George King,Iknow he was transported to Australia from Woodbridge England at the age of 20 yrs. He wore a ring on his ring finger left hand with R.K. beneath G.K . I think he came out on the Ship,,John Barry.In May 1844 he married Amelia Fletcher she was 22 yrs She also had been transported from Pentonville England, she was 17 yrs old when sent to Australia,She came out on The Garland Grove (I think). They had a Son John, he Married Mary Hathaway,on9 October 1870 in Launceston Tasmania. They had a son Ernest Henry King 12 April 1945. My Grandfather.
