My grandfather, William Alfred Jones was born on the 8th March 1893. I was told by my mother that he was born in Cardiff, Wales ? I have checked with the registry office in the UK, they were unable to trace him. He stayed in Boksburg, South Africa. He married Mildred Alvena Webber around 1914 and had 6 children, one of which was my mother Veronica Louisa Jones. I checked with the registry office in SA and cannot locate him either. Please if anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated. His brother's name was Edward James Jones born 5 Apr 1900 and his father's name was Thomas Alfred Jones born 28 Mar 1862 and his mother's name was Louisa Strever born on 25th ~Aug 1874. Gail Beukes |
