Anyone out there know any info about CHAPMANS of Newton Heath Manchester. 145 Robert Street in fact, do not know if its still standing. Making a family tree and have come across death certificate of my maternal great grandmother MARGARET ANN CHAPMAN married to JOHN THOMAS CHAPMAN. Margaret Ann was born in 1868 and died in 1953 and i do not have any information on JOHN THOMAS They apparently had a son named JOHN as his name appears on the death certificate, so my grandmother SARAH ELLEN LUPTON (Nee CHAPMAN) was his sister, I do not know if there were any other children, I only met my great grandmother on two occasions and there is no one left in my family who has any information to give me. Hope someone out there will be able to help. I do not necessarily need to impose on anyone but would be grateful if I get link from anyone who was related to the Chapmans' so that I can go further back still. Many thanks. |
