Hi, I am trying to find two separate families called Williams My mums side -Father Thomas Williams - born 1892 in Kent - there is no birth certificate for my grandad - his family were/are Romany and he was not registered. All I know about his family is that they were Romany - he was born in Kent - Sittingborne I think on the 4/8/1892. His father was Samuel Williams - tin smith (tinker). I know that my grandfather had a brother Nat - either Nathan or Nathanial who had a wooden leg! I believe he had a couple of sisters Amelia and Bertha ( I think), one who may have lived in Dagenham for a while. My dad's family - Kennedy Steven Williams born in West Ham 10/05/1890 died 23/12/38. His father was was also Kennedy ( may have been spelt Kennedey) Williams (born 1859 in Kent) Mother Frances Ellen Williams Nee Holmes Born Sandwich Kent). Frances and Kennedy had 7 children Florence, Mary James, Kennedy,Albert,John,Ethel. I known that the family lived in Wandsworth, Kent Charlton, and Silvertown - then in Essex. I would be truely grateful if any one has any information . Regards Jo |
