Hi there I am currently tracing my family tree. My grandfathers name was Andrew Hunter Smith and he was born in Glasgow 23-04-1923. He married my grandmother Isabella Mckenna Miller Mcneil 01-12-1944, my mother was born 07-09-1945 and her name was Williamina Mcneil Smith. They all moved to Doncaster 1954 when my mother was only 9 years old. A few years later my grandmother and grandfather split up and my grandmother moved back to glasgow but my mother stayed with andrew and worked in Doncaster market next to Woolworths and also a place called Pecks(i think). Andrew worked in local pit or was supposed to have!!! Eventually my mother moved back to Glasgow around 1961 or 1962 and left Andrew in Doncaster. A few years later around about 1972-1974 Andrew died and an advertisement was put in Glasgow newspaper for my mother or grandmother to get in touch regarding his death. Does this story ring a bell with anybody if so I would like to hear from you so that i could look for deayh certificate for my grandfather. Maybe there is more family we don`t know about Regards Caroline
