To Sarah Donohoe and others that may help, I am looking for a Carl Anderson whom was possibly the father or father figure of Sylvia Rice(born c1920, Leeton region, NSW, nee registered as Murphy, birth not registered at all) Carl Anderson was discharged from the Norweigan Navy (Possibly Merchant Navy) and I believe he may have died in Balmain around world war two. If I remember correctly, he was a short stocky man with dark hair and brown eyes and was illiterate (I think his mother signed the discharge papers) We beleive he was in a de facto relationship with a woman by the name of Margaret whom may be biologically related to Sylvia, or maybe even adopted her (we don't know) but she was a tall woman and she died/was buried in Gunnedah in 1959. If this sounds familiar I would totally love to hear back from you! Emma |
