Does anyone have an Arthur John Davies in their family tree who was a journeyman joiner in 1947. i am not sure as to his age but he must have been born between 1915 & 1925 or thereabouts. It is possible he comes from Rotherham or the surrounding area or from Southowram or the area around Halifax / Brighouse. The place of birth is a bit of a guess based on events sometime around 1946 to 1948. I know that he was living in Southowram near Halifax in August 1947, as the address appears on my fathers birth certificate, and Arthur John Davies is the name of his father. If you can help in any way,it would be gratefully appreciated
