This may a somewhat forlorn hope as I haven't seen any mesages regarding Carr's that go back as far as I am interested, but here goes. I have traced my Carr's back to John Carr born in Scotland in 1684, he married Susan Kerr in County Down Ireland in 1721. Three children were born in Ireland up to 1738 then it appears John and Thomas (not Susan) emigrated to Virginia USA where he re-married and had another 7 children with Sarah Peake and 1 daughter with Sarah Bachman. But his death is recorded as 1794 which would make him 110 years old. I am working on the premise that the death date is for either his son John Junior or another unrelated John carr. I need really t o establish that he emigrated in the first place and whether Susan died or was left in Ireland for some reason. I have not found any record of her death so far. Can anyone save me a trip to Virginia?! or Ireland? to try and establish at lest one irrefutable fact in all this? The smallest piece of advice or info would help.
