Are there no 'Larkins' out there related to the 'peanut' and 'sweet' people who lived in the East End of London from the mid and late 1800's? Mackio Larkin was the first man to roast peanuts in the world! He and his brothers owned a string of confectionery and fruit/vegetable shops. The family were originally costermongers who plied their trade around the streets of West Ham. My grandmother was born Elizabeth Larkin and was their sister. -Janice Akass
