Member Since: July 2003 Posts: 8 Send Message	I am researching the Lanes, children of William Lane and Jane (nee Harris) born in Driffield, Glos, of whom there were 10 from John, born about 1778 to my 2x greatgrandfather George born about 1784. The second son William married and had an only son William, I believe. A family story says that one of these William Lanes moved to Hereford where he had a sadlery business but I have not been able to confirm this - or find any trace of these two Williams otherwise. Member Since: October 2007 Posts: 1 Send Message	hi my name is pat,my g.father was william lane an only child.he married hannah mary turner and they had one son, my father albert.im not to sure of where they origanated from as my father rarely spoke of his childhood onlt to say his father left his mother when he was a child.hope this of some use pat.
