Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 4 Send Message	CHARLES WILLIAM SMITH, born WHIPPINGHAM, ISLE OF WIGHT, Mothers name JANE SMITH. Had a sister either Annie or Agnes. Jane Smith married into the MATTHEWS family when Charles was about 4. Charles married ALICE WAREHAM c1903 in NEWPORT and then married my grandmother HILDA MAY GRIFFIN LEAL. Charles and Hilda had 9 children, between them, Lesley Leal, Ena(Molly), Kenneth, Hilda (Peggy) Bob (my father), Phyllis, Ronald, Reymond, Eileen. They lived at 84 Trafalgar Road, Newport. Any info on my grandfather or great grandmother would be appricated.
