Looking for any information on the Chadwick family, mainly in Lancashire. My grandfather Richard Gilbert Chadwick married Sarah Allen. They had seven sons and one daughter. Their first born son was my father also named Richard Gilbert Chadwick born 1898.Their other sons were Walter, George, Frank, James,Joseph and Alfred. Their daughter was named Minnie. To my knowledge the children were all born in Warrington. My grandfather had a brother named Walter, (I don't know if there were any other siblings,) and when he married it was to a girl called Alice. They were Fairground owners. I believe my grandfather was a boxer in the fairground and he was about 49 years old when he died, approx: 1925. Any information at all on my grandfathers ancestors would be very much appreciated. Thankyou. Lilian McInerny (nee: Chadwick.) |
