My late father-in-law came from Thaxted. He was Frederick Thake whos second marriage was to Alice ? (Pickford) possibly. I had a copy of the Norwegian guys tree in a booklet at one point, but it has been mislaid. If you have transfered it to your family tree on GR, then please could I see your tree.

In the area surrounding Thaxted in Essex there are numerous Thakes. Thakes Stead? I have info collected my a Thake decendant living in Norway going back to 1791 and at that time there are many branches which do not link
