Searching for Thomas Reeves and family after 1881

Just a random wild thought - as there's no obvious death for Thomas between 1891 and 1901 - perhaps he and Eliza separated, but claimed they were widowed for the sake of respectability ???

The 1902 marriage cert of son Thomas Isaac doesn't say he was deceased - though that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Constance Muriel Timms 4 Years 9 Months Daughter
Thomas Reeves 69 Years 3 Months Lodger

The census date was 19 June.
If the age above is accurate, that man was born approx March 1852.

That would fit with your Thomas's birth (parents Isaac and Agnes - nee Rogers/Rodgers) :

REEVES, THOMAS mmn ROGERS
GRO Reference: 1852 J Quarter in ASTON Volume 06D Page 205

That is the only registered birth of a Thomas Reeves in Warwickshire in 1852.

But having said that, Thomas Reeves isn't an uncommon name, and the 1921 info may not be accurate.

In that case, she was probably living with her Uncle George and her grandparents. They were in Highgate Street in 1891……..no house numbers recorded on census

I think the 1891 posted above might be the correct one after all, with the father named as William by mistake.

The son Thomas Isaac's marriage cert gives his father's name as THOMAS, a blacksmith:

Thomas Isaac Reeves
in the Birmingham, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-1939
Name Thomas Isaac Reeves
Gender Male
Age 26
Birth Date abt 1876
Marriage Date 25 Nov 1902
Marriage Place Birmingham, England
Marriage Church St Margaret's Church
Parish as it Appears St Margaret Birmingham
Father
Thomas Reeves [ blacksmith ]
Spouse
Elizabeth Badger

The father Thomas in 1881 is a blacksmith.

Also, Thomas Isaac is the only Thomas Reeves registered in Birmingham in 1875+/-2.

Can we assume that you have verified that they didn’t die before 1891? Also that they didn’t emigrate?
