I have finally got the form - already had the probate details from another site. The list of pages provided by the search were so slow to appear on my initial search I missed them. It gave me 11 pages to go through one by one p 10 ended at Hi and page 11 started at Jones! I needed HO.
However I now have the order in my ‘basket’ so just need to find my credit card x

If you enter his year of death on the first page as 1944, and don't enter anything on the second page, you'll find his probate comes up, along with the order form.

HOWELL, Charles of 137 Promenade, Blackpool, died 26th November 1943 at Moore Street Nursing Home, Blackpool. Probate Llandudno, 29th March to Midland Bank Executor and Trustee Company Ltd. Effects £32349 5s. 6d.

In 1939 he was said to be married, but the only other person in the house was a paid housekeeper

Did he die in Blackpool? If so Probate was 1944

Probate was granted to Midland Bank - not a named individual Executor. I do not know whether that ,makes a difference

If you put 1943 in the date box on the first page it comes up with everyone pre-1995.

I thought if there was a probate record with named executor there would always be a will. The person I am looking at is Charles Howell d 1943.

Link given by Andy’s mum (which was the one I was trying to use) just says no records found and only seems to search post 1995.

I am going round in circles! I have ordered wills before but it is some years ago since I last tried.
