	Before allocating the above-named children to the marriage to which you refer, it would be prudent to check whether any children were baptised on the IOW or elsewhere in Hampshire with parents Andrew and Patience

Member Since: March 2007 Posts: 35 Send Message	thank you for all your answers. i found that iow marriage,it was of an andrew giles to a patience jackman 1782 in northwood.(familysearchformerly igi) one possibility is that patience changed her name to elizabeth,(i have come across several cases where spouses have changed first name(s) after marriage). also interesting is an andrew goater,because giles comes from a word meaning goat,probably irrelevant to my search. andrew giles's father married as stephen childs to sarah prang(n)ell

Member Since: March 2007 Posts: 35 Send Message	i would like to find andrew giles(born andrew childs in michelmersh 1750s to stephen childs/giles) marriage to an elizabeth possibly in the 1780s,they had a son james born 1786? in romsey. no luck with hampshire and wiltshire marriage indexes. thought there was a possible marriage on the isle of wight but don't know where to find that one. all help appreciated on my request.
