Just to round this off -
I suspect their father was either George [William George] or Joseph [Joseph Benjamin] Baud/Band (or perhaps one of each!), who were brothers living with their mother Sarah Ann in Paradise Row, Silverstone in 1921.
A couple of doors along Paradise Row in 1921 were Fanny's parents and her surviving daughter by her previous marriage - Dorothy [Elsie Dorothy] Kavanagh. Fanny herself was in Liverpool with her second husband John Neil and children by that time, but I expect she visited Paradise Row from time to time - including after John's death towards the end of 1921! Joseph Baud was still living in Paradise Row in 1939.
ADDED: In fact, by 1939 Fanny was living in Douglas Avenue, Silverstone , Towcester, which later became part of Murswell Lane, Silverstone, which is only about half a mile from Paradise Row (off Church Street).
AND FINALLY: I found a Facebook post from someone reminiscing about how their mother used to cook dinners "for Joe Baud who lived in a cottage in Paradise Row. Far from Paradise, there was no plaster on the walls or ceiling. . . . . . . . Sometimes I would walk down with his dinner on a plate with bacofoil over the top. It would be lukewarm by the time i arrived. I would feel a little sad that it wasn't hot but pleased that it wasn't cold. Then i would fill his scuttle with coal from what i thought was a barn next door but it didnt look much different to his house. I think he was the only person living in the row." He lived in one room, with a stuffed parrot.

Baud seems to be very much a Towcester name

Thanks for confirming my addition to my previous post, ErikaH. We must have been typing at the same time.
Joseph B married in Northampton RD in 1947, and died in 2008.
Joseph and George both born after John Neil's death, and both with middle name Baud (or Band) - so their father presumably was a Mr Baud or Band.

I know that Joseph isn’t George …… ;-) ;-)
He’s the ‘closed on Ancestry’ record for which you asked

Many thanks for looking.
The Smith marriage isn't hers. That woman's father was Thomas Neil.
The 1943 Halifax death is that of a Mary Ellen Neil.
The Joseph B Neil birth in 1924 isn't George. George's birth doesn't show up on GRO.
Births Sep 1926 (>99%) Neil George B Timms Towcester 3b 11
The Sodbury record in 1939 , and the 1974 death, look very likely, as the DOB fits with her birth record. Obviously her birth cert would be the next step - but she's a distant twig on my tree, so it's not a priority!
Fanny's paternal grandmother was a sister of one of my maternal gr-gr-grandfathers.
Thanks again.
ADDED: But interesting! I had discounted Joseph B as a sibling of George, as GRO gives his mmn as Quintro - but now I see that FreeBMD has the mmn as Timms.
Births Dec 1924 (>99%) Neil Joseph B Timms Towcester 3b 10
NEIL, JOSEPH BAND mmn QUINTRO GRO Reference: 1924 D Quarter in TOWCESTER Volume 03B Page 10
In that case, the closed record in 1939 with Fanny and George will be Joseph, if the Sodbury record is correct for Mary Elizabeth.

Have you discounted the 1935 marriage to Smith in Liverpool?

I'm posting Ancestry's version of this 1939 record.
Please, will someone have a look at it on FMP, which is often more up to date than Ancestry re 1939.
I'd like to know if the closed record is open on FMP.
By the closed record's position, before the son George, I think it could be Fanny's daughter Mary Elizabeth Neil , born1918 in Liverpool, mmn Timms.
Fanny Neil in the 1939 England and Wales Register Name Fanny Neil Gender Female Marital Status Widowed Birth Date 26 Mar 1884 Residence Date 1939 Address 17 Residence Place Towcester, Northamptonshire, England Occupation Domestic Duties Line Number 6 Schedule Number 135 Sub Schedule Number 1 Enumeration District Rkle Borough Towcester Registration District 160/1. Inferred Children George B Neil Household Members (Name) Gender Birth Year Fanny Neil Female 1884 This record is officially closed. George B Neil Male 1926
Otherwise, the last definite sighting of Mary Elizabeth is in 1921, with her parents and siblings in Liverpool.
Can anyone find a marriage or death for her, please? Her father was John Neil, who died in 1921.
I don't need to know about the rest of the family, thanks.
George B Neil 1926 was obviously not John's son.
