He was first registered as Gibbins (illegitimate) in J/F/M qr, and then the registration was altered to include the name Wright in O/N/D qr. - though GRO still shows his birth as illegitimate.

Herbert Henry Wright married Emma Elizabeth Gibbins in Chelsea in J/A/S qr of 1931 (ie - between the two birth reg dates) , and they went on to have 3 children registered in Chelsea (1932, 1933, 1939) .

If Peter was also theirs, he's not with them in 1939, and appears not to have died before then.

There is a birth for a Peter J. Wright in 1931 in Islington with mother's maiden name given as Gibbins - could possibly be a mistranscription of Gubbins. Could the J. be for Joseph? People did move around in those days. Just something to think about.

I have just been told that Jose[h died of consumption believed to have been around three years of age

Have the 'family members' offered any PROOF?

I am trying to find a birth record for a Joseph Wright who I am advised by a number of family members died quite young. He was apparently born between his two siblings Peter John Wright 1/10/1925 and Sheila May Wright 5/5/1932. Both registered in Market Harborough.
Mother was a May Elizabeth Gubbins. I have checked BMD and Ancestry but not seeing anything.
Would be great if you could help.
