I need a little help with this baptism record https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-6549-316?view=index&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3A2MKD-3N9&cc=1463648&lang=en&groupId=TH-266-12427-30430-47

Entry 238 is my wife's great great grandmother, so entry 237 and 239 would be my wife's gg grandmother's siblings now my question is is entry 236 their mother, if so any idea on her tribe name ive transcribed an adult finpo women of ? Tribe about 25 years of age. The 3 children lived in the clumber area northeast of bathurst. Any help with this record to discount or confirm entry 236 as the mother would be appreciated

To me it looks something like "An adult Fenjoo [but could indeed be Finpo ] woman of the Joquesis [???] tribe."

Can't see anything like that tribe name on Google, though - even allowing for the fact that it's bound to be a very Anglicised approximation.

It looks very likely that it was the mother, but I doubt you’d be able to prove it 170 years down the line

I suggest you may need an expert in SA tribes to decipher the name of Sarah’s tribe.

Alternatively, try googling……………..that’s your best first stop

GR members are merely amateurs who try to help each other.

If you look at page 22 of the link, there's a child born to "an adult Fingoe" - presumably the same word as Finpo/Fenjoo.
Also some on page 24 (and doubtless many others on other pages).

Explanation of the word here:
