Simply look for a birth (no name needed) in Peterborough district in 1863 on freebmd and click on the district name for FULL info. OP only asked for the County

Couldn't be easier ;-) ;-)

I only posted that 1861 as an example of an appearance of the name Millfield, and its location in the area of Lincoln Road.

The family have nothing to do with Nala's query.

Can't see Millfield in any census until 1911.
Nor is it listed specifically in any registration district on FreeBMD.

Seems complicated:

From Wikipedia -

"Millfield is a residential area of the city of Peterborough, in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. For electoral purposes it comprises the main part of Peterborough Central ward."

"The City of Peterborough, commonly known as Peterborough, is a unitary authority district with city status in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. The area is named after its largest settlement, Peterborough but also covers a wider area of outlying villages and hamlets.

The district's area covers parts of the historic counties of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire, as well as a small part of Cambridgeshire. "

Try contacting Peterborough Local History Society:

Peterborough itself was in Northamptonshire in 1861, and if Millfield is in central Peterborough, I would guess it would be Northamptonshire.

Have you tried GOOGLING?

Or looking at 1861 census?

Or freebmd for complete info? ;-) ;-) ;-)

Just a quick question.

Which county was it in in 1863?

Thanks Nala.
