If the Peter Scholefield with Hannah in Dewsbury is "your" Peter, he may not have married Hannah if he was still married to Catherine.

Catherine is listed as widowed in 1911 - though that doesn't necessarily mean it's true.

hmmmm could be in light of the spelling

There is a baptism which Ancestry thinks is that man, although the birth date would mean that the man should appear as one year younger in 1901.

The 1891 census says she is married may not necessarily be correct)

Sarah Ann married 1894 in Bonhill RD - the certificate should name her Father and say whether he is deceased

The Mexborough probate man - George's birth was registered Sept. Qtr 1868 so even allowing for the year being out, the May month should rule him out

There are no death registrations in Scotland for a George Schofield born 1868 +/- 5 years post 1891 when you have sight if him

and none for a Peter Schofield b 1837 +/- 5 years

A copy of the will (obtainable via the site) may give some clues, may name family. the 2 gents named are only the executors.

Trouble is of course that there were several George Schofields born around the same time and it could be any of them
