Hi,

I can't seem to find Willie Smith born 1862 in Newbury Berkshire in either the 1881, 1901 or 1911 census records. Please can anyone see if they can find him for me?.

In 1891 he was recorded aged 29, a Steam Engine Maker/Fitter living with his parents George and Mary Smith and his brothers Isaac and Edward, at 15 Goswell Row Speenhamland Berkshire.

He died on the 15th October 1929

TIA

Have you found the rest of the family after 1891?

Have you considered that he might have been working/living outside of the UK?

Where did he die?

Erika, his dad died on the 11th March 1915 and his mum died in 30th dec 1920 both in Newbury. The were still living in Goswell Row Speenhamland in 1901 but by 1911 they were living at 12 Church Almshouses in Newbury.

No I had not considered that he might be working outside the UK

Maddie, that looks like it might be him in 1911 :-)
