resting place of my father

im trying to find out the final resting place of my late father John Edward Pearson died 21st april 1980 in Islington London,not having contact with my late father since 1960 I know he passed away in university college hospital in Camden but that's all I know ,any help would be much appreciated

this must be your father not sure how you could find out where he is buried or cremated there is a web site find a grave

Look for cemeteries in the area. (Google)

Have you any reason to think he was buried, as opposed to being cremated?

looked on find a grave and this came up

I don't see that record at all on Findagrave.

The man in question was born in 1927 - not 1929.

No info apart from Civil death reg'n on Ancestry or FMP

Suggest you get the death certificate to see who the informant was it could be family

But died in 1980 that info may not help


I have had success in contacting the parks and cemeteries dept of the local council giving them the details from the cert,

Councils keep excellent records of cemeteries and crematoriums

Hopefully too the cert will give some idea of his home address so you know which council to contact


Bear in mind though they may not be taking enquiries for some time still
