Page Number: 16
Household Members:
Name Age
George Richardson 38
Hannah Richardson 5

The birthplaces of George and Hannah are written on the wrong lines, but it looks as if George was born in Shoreditch, and Hannah in Bethnal Green.

Possibly Hannah's birth, if census is correct :

RICHARDSON, HANNAH mms SMITH

1861 England, Wales & Scotland Census
65, West Street, St Sepulchre, West London (City of London), London & Middlesex, England

First name(s) Last name Relationship Marital status Sex Age Birth year Occupation Birth place
George Richardson Head Widower Male 38 1823 Cabinet Maker -
Hannah Richardson Daughter - Female 5 1856 Scholar Shoreditch, Middlesex, England

Although George has no birthplace and Hannah says Shoreditch, the original looks to have "slipped" a line and probably should read that he was born Shoreditch and Hannah (last name on page) Bethnal Green

Have you looked at freebmd and then the GRO site to check for births showing mmn?

Birth:

RICHARDSON, ROSA -
GRO Reference: 1853 M Quarter in LAMBETH Volume 01D Page 252

Illegitimate birth, therefore mother's surname was Richardson - unless she lied.
Therefore doesn't seem to be George's child, unless by chance the mother was also caled Richardson.

p.s. If I've asked about this person before I apologise, this site doesn't seem to be working very well and over the past couple of days I've tried to search the forums but keep getting error messages.

Born circa 1823 (London, St Sepulchre?) 1861 census recorded with daughter Hannah (born 1856) . eldest daughter Rose (8yrs) appears to be living as a 'nurse child' in Kensington. I once recorded their mother as Mary Ann Cousins who died in 1858 but I can't find evidence for that. I'm trying to prove who the girls mother was and anything whatsoever about George Richardson. He's recorded as a cabinet maker on the 1861 census which doesn't tie up with the number of Geo Richardsons I've found records for..
