I am trying to trace the parents / Father of a Meterias / Materas Ryals said to have been born on various Census Records between 1816/1818, Bristol / Thornbury, Gloucestershire. I have found a marriage record for a Materias Ryal to a Robert Kent in the Jun/ Qtr/ 1842 at St Peters Cirencester, Gloucestershire Ref 11 303, however I have been given to understand that the marriage record was not deposited at Cheltenham, Register Office. I am about to contact the St Peters Church, Cirencester, to try to obtain this record, which I hope may give the fathers name of Meterias, however any help would be very much appreciated.
