John was NOT born in Lancashire - he was born in Tunstall, Staffs

The original of the 1911 census says that George and Mary have been married for 16 years. They've had 8 children, 6 of whom are still alive and 2 died.

Mistakenly they have completed info about those 2 under the children who have died column

George and Emily. both have the number 2 by their names but think it relates to how many have died being put in the wrong place, rather than an age at death. Also written there is Male and Female

So looks as though George aged 2 on the census has been named for a deceased brother
