Hello, Can you help please. Joseph Carrick was born Dec q 1843 (Byers Green, Co Durham). He marries Sophia Emma Carr on 3 July 1864 at Auckland St Andrew Co Durham. I cannot find him on 1871 census. Sophia (29) is with her children Frederick 6 and Henry 2 with her parents Thomas and Mary Carr at High Street, Willington, Co Durham. On the 1881 census I cannot find any of them. On 1891 census Sophia and her daughter Florence (13) are at Widdrington, Morpeth, Northumberland. In 1901 Joseph, Sophia, Florence are at Lynemouth Northumberland with a Matthew Bell Coxon who Florence later marries. In 1911 Sophia is on her own at East Chevington, Acklington, Northumberland, widowed. Joseph dies 1906 Morpeth.

Can anyone try and find them on the missing census.

Thank you.

In 1901 he says he's a furnace builder (Bricklayer)

Could he have been working overseas in earlier yerars?

In 1871, Sophia says she's a Boilermaker's wife
