Hello, I have been looking for this great Uncle for 10 or 12 years. and have found nothing about him since the 1851 census Inverkeithing he was 8 years of age.
I have recently found what looks like him as that person joined the US navy in 1963 20 years old,, born in Scotland. But I dont know how to use Folder 3 to trace this person. Any one know how to use Folder 3 ? I have been into F3 but not found out how to use it.

Cheers,

Jack Steele

I realise this thread is about the use of Fold3.

But to save anyone spending time researching the background, there are already numerous threads about James and other family members. This one lists a lot of the other threads:

https://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/ancestors/thread/1381228

However, I don't remember reading about Lucretia before, so maybe that's new!

I want to thank all of the members who looked into my search for My great Uncle James Steele. Unfortunately all of the information honestly given has not found him or directed me to the finding of him. BUT THANK YOU ALL for your interest and time. I guess he was not meant to be found.
I think that at those times many people slipped through the cracks.

Again Thank you all for your help and interest.

Cheers,

Jack Steele
