Scottish bmds registration didn’t start till 1855 so he was probably not registered if he was born before then |

Nothing further by the looks of it on family search. Would this now become a dead end or are their any other ideas of places to look in Scotland. |

Ok so Just did a bit of research on Leith lack of knowledge of the geography of Scotland is a real hindrance) It says Leith was part of Midlothian. If I search on here for this I get one result from the 1861 Census transcription of household says - With a William as the farther Occupation Labourer. So a possibility? |

I can see in the 1851 census posted someone called Ann Henderson. Robert Marries a Margaret Gillespie and I have just been looking for a birth for her and found this one with MMN Henderson. Wonder if there is a connection or coincidence. |
